Rangers Arrest Two Suspected In Series of Auto Burglaries

On Tuesday evening, May 14, park law enforcement rangers arrested two individuals suspected of breaking into vehicles and stealing property within park boundaries. Acting on an investigative lead, park rangers stopped a vehicle of matching make and license plates at the Boy Scout Trail parking lot. A search of the vehicle revealed property reported stolen from vehicles in the park along with other items from other suspected auto burglaries. The individuals were identified as Ashely Gonzalez, 35 and Michelle Towne, 27 and both from Yucca Valley. Both suspects were turned over to San Bernardino County deputies and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
