GREENSBORO, North Carolina - The Comfort Station located at Stop 6 along the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park’s tour road is scheduled to be closed and replaced starting Tuesday, May 28th. Over the next two to three months, crews will work to remove the current comfort station and build a brand new replacement.
“We recognize the growing need for a new, more energy efficient facility to serve the nearly 300,000 visitors that visit the park annually," said Acting Superintendent Vanessa Smiley. “This new facility will incorporate more sustainable features and blend in with the cultural landscape, while serving those visitor needs."
There will be portable toilets placed at Stop 6 as a temporary measure until the new comfort station is completed. Additional restroom facilities are located at the park’s Visitor Center during operating hours.
