BOULDER CITY, Nevada - The following Lake Mead National Recreation Area events are happening June 1-29.
Ranger Program: Starry, Starry Night Hike, June 1
Join rangers for a night hike from 8-10 p.m. June 1 on the Historic Railroad Trail. Learn about the dark skies of Lake Mead while hiking along an old railroad bed. This is an easy 3-mile round- trip hike. For more information and to make a reservation, call 702-293-8990.
Free Fishing Days, June 1 and 8
In celebration of National Fishing and Boating Week June 1-9, Arizona and Nevada are offering free fishing days. Visitors to Lake Mead and Lake Mohave can fish without a license in Arizona on June 1 and in Nevada on June 8.
Ranger Program: Free Fishing Day, June 8
Join rangers June 8 for Free Fishing Day at Veterans Memorial Park in Boulder City, Nevada. There will be a booth set up with information about water safety and invasive species from 7:30-11 a.m. For more information, call 702-293-8990.
Ranger Program: Full Moon Hike, June 15
Join rangers for a night hike from 8-10 p.m. June 15 on the Bluffs Trail. Enjoy a moonlit-night while learning about lunar tales and constellations. This is a moderate 3-mile round-trip hike. For more information and to make a reservation, call 702-293-8990.
Ranger Program: Star Party, June 29
Join rangers for a star party at the Alan Bible Visitor Center from 8:30-10 p.m. June 29. At 8:30 p.m., rangers will give a program on the stories of the stars.
