Kīpahulu, Maui - Late in the evening of May 30, 2019, Maui Fire Department, Maui Police Department, and the National Park Service responded to a report of an injured person in the Pools of ‘Oheʻo in the Kīpahulu District of Haleakalā National Park. After a coordinated search effort, responders recovered the victim in the pools. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
