Fatal Vehicle Accident on Two Medicine Road

West Glacier, MT - At approximately 12:00 am Wednesday morning, Glacier County received a 911 call about a single-vehicle rollover accident on Two Medicine Road in Glacier National Park.

One passenger, 40-year-old Paul Cadotte of Starr School, MT, died at the scene. Another passenger was injured and required hospitalization.

The driver, 19-year-old Leo J. Hagan of East Glacier Park, MT, has been arrested on DUI charges. Additional charges are pending with the Assistant U.S. Attorney.

The name of the injured victim, who also is a Montana resident from an adjacent local community, is being withheld pending the conclusion of next-of-kin notification.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. Not all individuals were wearing seatbelts.

The investigation is ongoing, and the park expects to release additional information about the incident in the near future.

Glacier National Park thanks local cooperating agencies including Montana Highway Patrol, Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services, Glacier County, East Glacier Volunteer Fire Department, and Browning Ambulance for their response to this accident.
