Roosevelt, AZ - Tonto National Monument will reopen the Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail to the public on Friday, October 4, 2019. The Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail will be open daily from

8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to uphill hikers, with the exception of December 25. The Cactus Patch Trail section will be closed until further notice due to damage from a recent storm.

While the Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail is open, visitors are still asked to be cautious of hazards found within the burned area caused by the 2019 Woodbury Fire, including falling vegetation, increased erosion and rock falls, and potential flooding. Hiking off trail is not permitted.
