SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS, California (November 7, 2019)-While conducting a ground search in the area along the route of Mt. Darwin, searchers located a deceased individual that matched the description of missing hiker Alan Stringer (40).
Mr. Stringer had been reported missing by family members on Monday, November 4. Inyo County and CHP had initiated the search. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks began search efforts on Wednesday. Aerial search efforts were underway and the ground team that found the individual was deployed on Thursday.
