National Park Service selects operator for James Creek Marina

WASHINGTON -The National Park Service (NPS) has selected Guest Services, Inc. to provide services at James Creek Marina, along the Anacostia River, in Washington, D.C., for the next 10 years. The new contract began on Jan. 1, 2020.

Guest Services, Inc. has provided services at James Creek Marina since January 2008. Under the new name of NCR Marine Services, LLC, they will continue to provide services including wet slip rentals, fuel service, marine sanitation, parking lot operations and retail and vending sales.

Under the new concessions contract, NCR Marine Services is committed to making facility improvements and increasing sustainability efforts at James Creek Marina. They will upgrade the parking lot, beautify the marina area and improve signage. They will also take measures to reduce pollution from fuel, clear debris from the water, improve stormwater drainage systems and install solar-powered lighting.

NCR Marine Services will also expand recreational opportunities at James Creek Marina. The new contract allows NCR Marine Services to offer kayak and canoe rentals, build a kayak and canoe launch and offer bike rentals.
