Steamtown National Historic Site Is Closing Early Due to Winter Weather, Friday, February 7, 2020

SCRANTON, Pa. - Steamtown National Historic Site is closing at 12:00 p.m. (noon) today, Friday, February 7, 2020, due to forecast winter weather that could jeopardize visitor, staff, and volunteer safety.

While the park anticipates reopening with regular 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. operating hours on Saturday, February 8, 2020, please check the park website:

Located in downtown Scranton, Pa., Steamtown NHS is open daily from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 pm (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. beginning in Spring). From I-81 follow exit 185 (Central Scranton Expressway); then follow the brown and white signs to the park entrance at Lackawanna Avenue and Cliff Street (GPS: N 41.41, W 75.67).
