New Orleans, LA - Following guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local public health authorities, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve is increasing access. The National Park Service (NPS) is working servicewide with federal, state, and local public health authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and using a phased approach to increase access on a park-by-park basis.
Effective immediately, the following visitor centers will be open to the public with modified operating hours and operations:
* Acadian Cultural Center, 501 Fisher Road, Lafayette
** Open Thu-Sat 10AM - 4PM
* Barataria Preserve, 6588 Barataria Boulevard, Marrero
** Open Fri-Sun 10AM - 4PM
** The grounds are open 9AM - 5:00PM daily; some trails remain closed
* Chalmette Battlefield and National Cemetery, 8606 West St. Bernard Highway, Chalmette
** Open Fri-Sun 10AM- 2:30PM
** The grounds are open 9:00AM - 4:00PM daily
* Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve Headquarters and French Quarter Visitor Center, 419 Decatur Street, New Orleans
** Open Thu-Sat 10AM - 4PM
** Restrooms at this location remain closed

* Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center, 314 St Mary St, Thibodaux
