Dangling Rope Marina Services Closed Until Further Notice

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on March 12, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

Lake Powell boaters are advised that Dangling Rope Marina is not open and there is not any power, fuel, water, pumpout or other visitor services at the marina until further notice. Vault toilets at Dangling Rope Marina remain available for visitors. Because Dangling Rope Marina is closed, there will not be any available options for obtaining boat fuel between the Wahweap area downlake and the Halls Crossing/Bullfrog area uplake, a distance of approximately 100 miles. Boaters are advised to plan ahead for their needs. (For boaters averaging 20 to 25 mph, the Wahweap to Bullfrog 100-mile trip takes approximately 4 to 5 hours without stopping.)

The marina closure is due to an ongoing project to repair and upgrade the electrical system. The park anticipates that power, fuel and limited visitor services will be available at Dangling Rope Marina in April.
