Medora, ND - Theodore Roosevelt National Park is preparing a long-range comprehensive site plan for all developed areas of the park including: Painted Canyon Overlook, South Unit Entrance at Medora, North Unit Entrance, Peaceful Valley Ranch, and the Elkhorn Ranch Unit. For those interested in learning more about the park and the planning process, the National Park Service will host two meetings the first week of November. The meetings will present the same information.
National Park Service representatives will present long-range planning concepts that will address future facility needs, prioritize infrastructure investments, and leverage partnership opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to shape the future of Theodore Roosevelt National Park and define a new era celebrating Theodore Roosevelt’s conservation ethic.
* An in-person open house will be held Wednesday, November 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. MT at the Medora Community Center, 465 Pacific Avenue, Medora, ND 58645. •
* A virtual meeting will be held Thursday, November 4 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. MT using Microsoft Teams.
