National Park Service announces delayed openings at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and Wright Brothers National Memorial

MANTEO, N.C. - In anticipation of a winter storm event, Wright Brothers National Memorial and the visitor center at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site will not open Friday, Jan. 21 until 12 p.m.

The National Park Service will reassess conditions tomorrow morning and may open later than 12 p.m., if necessary. From Jan. 21-23, visitors should check park websites and social media for daily operational updates prior to traveling to the parks. Visitors can also sign up to receive text alerts by texting NPSOBX to 333111.
