Arrest on the Washington Monument grounds on June 11 during March for our Lives

Washington DC - On Saturday, June 11 at 2 p.m., the United States Park Police arrested Mitchell Martinez, 21 years old, of Coral Gables, Florida on the Washington Monument grounds for interfering with a permitted event. Martinez was charged with Disorderly Conduct-Creating Fear and Disorderly Conduct-Disrupting a Gathering. The investigation determined Martinez did not have any weapons and posed no larger threat to the public. Martinez was released with a citation to appear in court at a future date.
