Gettysburg National Military Park to close West Confederate Avenue for July 4 fireworks

GETTYSBURG, PA - Gettysburg National Military Park (NMP) will close West Confederate Avenue at the intersection of West Middle Street (Rt. 116 West) at 9:00 pm on July 4, 2022. This action is intended to provide for visitor safety and natural and cultural resource protection to the battlefield in this critical corridor. The road will reopen at the conclusion of the fireworks.

Who: Gettysburg NMP.

What: West Confederate Avenue.

Where: West Confederate Avenue closure at the intersection of West Middle Street (Rt. 116 West) at 9:00 pm on July 4, 2022.

When: July 4, 2022 from 9:00 pm through the conclusion of the fireworks.

Why: This action is intended to provide for visitor safety and natural and cultural resource protection to the battlefield in this critical corridor.
