The Art in the Park Festival will be held on Saturday October 15, 2022 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The event will include art demonstrations, activity stations, free-to-use art supplies, refreshments, live music, and more! The park welcomes artists, neighbors, national park lovers, and visitors of all ages to participate in this this free day-long event that focuses on what Weir Farm is all about – art, creativity, and community.
Parking is limited. Please carpool if possible to make space for more visitors and artists to enjoy the day. If you are a neighbor, consider riding your bike or walking.
Activities include:
- Create Art in the Park! Bring your own supplies, or borrow a set of watercolors, pastels, or colored pencils. A collage and printmaking station will also be available.
- View an exhibit of 2022 Art in the Park Contest Winners and cast your vote for the Visitors' Choice Awards!
- Visit the Weir Studio, Young Studio, and Weir House during the all-day open house. Enjoy the sounds of John Tench on the historic Steinway piano from 11:00 to 2:00!
- Enjoy refreshments provided by Friends of Weir Farm - it is a celebration so cake is in order!
- Become a Junior Ranger by completing a fun activity and earning your Junior Ranger Badge.
- From 12:00 to 3:00, listen to tunes in the Terraced Garden and enjoy the eclectic mix by a local musician, John Fazio Jr.
- Learn from expert artists by attending a demonstration.

- 10:30 – Art Nature Journaling with local artist Leslie Carone
- 11:00 – Fun in the Sun Cyanotype Printmaking with Artist-in-Residence Alumni Fruma Markowitz
- 11:30 – Art Nature Journaling with local artist Leslie Carone
- 12:00 – Fun in the Sun Cyanotype Printmaking with Artist-in-Residence Alumni Fruma Markowitz
- 12:30 – Art Nature Journaling with Leslie Carone
- 2:00 – Art and Text – mini workshop with Artist-in-Residence Alumni Roxy Savage
