Foxx Welcomes NLRB IG Audit

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Education and Labor on Oct. 13. It is reproduced in full below.

Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement in response to a memorandum from Dave Berry, the Inspector General for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), announcing the start of an audit of mail ballot elections and representation decisions within the agency:

“Following the charge that NLRB officials engaged in gross misconduct during the Starbucks and Workers United elections earlier this year, it is a welcome sign that oversight will have its day. The NLRB should know better than to submit willingly to the demands of unions, and the gravity of the allegations leveled at the agency are not to be taken lightly. I welcome news about the NLRB Inspector General’s engagement on this issue, and I expect Inspector General Berry to leave no stone unturned in pursuit of the facts."
