Students Near West Valley Site Test Environmental Knowledge

SALAMANCA, N.Y. - A team of high school students takes a practical exam at a wildlife station during last week’s Cattaraugus County Envirothon. Teams of students tested their knowledge of aquatic ecology, forestry, wildlife, soils, and management of public rangelands. Randolph Central School, the winner of the competition, will represent the county at the state’s Envirothon May 23-24 in Seneca Falls. EM West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP) cleanup contractor CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley was a sponsor of this local outdoor environmental competition on April 25.
