Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced the award of a contract to BluePath Labs, LLC of Washington, DC, for Environmental Management Administrative and Business Support Services. This contract is an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) from which Firm-Fixed-Price and Time-and-Materials task orders may be issued. The IDIQ contract contains a $4 million maximum value of services, and has a five (5) year ordering period from the date of contract award.
The Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Environmental Management’s (EM) mission is to complete the safe cleanup of the environmental legacy resulting from five decades of nuclear weapons development and government-sponsored nuclear energy research. The program is one of the largest and most diverse and technically complex environmental cleanup programs in the world and includes responsibility for the cleanup of numerous sites across the country. Integral to that responsibility is the need to safely disposition large volumes of nuclear waste; safeguard and prepare for disposition nuclear materials that could be used in nuclear weapons; deactivate and decommission radiologically and chemically contaminated facilities no longer needed to support the DOE’s mission; and remediate extensive surface and groundwater contamination.
The scope of this forthcoming administrative and business management support services contract will include, but is not limited to: transition; administrative and business support; clerical; secretarial; oversight support; personnel and workforce management, records management, document control efforts; technical writing; budget and financial planning support; communications; and graphics support.
