Census Bureau Celebrates 40th Anniversary of State Data Centers Partnership

APRIL 3, 2018 - This year marks the 40th anniversary of the State Data Center Program, one of the U.S. Census Bureau's longest and most successful partnerships. This partnership, created in 1978 between the Census Bureau and the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Island Areas helps to make Census Bureau data available locally to the public through a network of state, regional and local government agencies; universities; libraries; and chambers of commerce.
