Notes Now Available for Evaluating a Pilot Electronic Census, Linking Population and Housing Censuses to the Agricultural Censuses, and Developing Specifications for an Electronic Questionnaire
- The U.S. Census Bureau is releasing a series of technical notes on Select Topics in International Censuses. Each note highlights a new subject, method or operation relevant to census planners in middle- to low-income countries. These notes complement the by describing certain topics in more detail. Sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Select Topics in International Censuses series is designed to help staff in national statistical offices (NSOs) address some of the significant issues in the 2020 round of censuses.
The following new technical notes are now available.
This technical note provides guidance for NSOs on how to evaluate pilot censuses and benefit from lessons learned, with a special emphasis on electronic censuses using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI).
This brief describes the benefits of linking the population and housing censuses to the agricultural censuses and highlights practical ways to leverage the other more seamlessly.
This brief provides guidance to NSOs on ways to develop specifications for an electronic questionnaire.
