There were seven press releases published by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response in October.

The most recent press release, "DOE CESER Leadership Attends White House EV Cybersecurity Forum," was submitted on Oct. 25.

The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response published two press releases the month before, marking a 250 percent increase for the current month.

CESER’s focus is preparedness and response activities to natural and man-made threats.

An inspector general report found the Office lacked internal control policies and procedures about budgets. The Office was determined to have inappropriately spent nearly $12 million due to mismanagement.
