Bird Feeder Talks at the National Park

Bird Feeder Talks at the National Park

Bring your bird questions, and favorite snack and beverage, and settle in to watch the feeders at the Indiana Dunes National Park's Park Connection Office, located off the Chellberg Farm Parking lot on Thursdays December 8, 15, and 22 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Learn about the birds that stick around the dunes area during the cold winter months. Volunteers and local bird experts will be there explaining how to identify common birds, what some of their likes and dislikes are, and some of their most interesting attributes.

The Chellberg Farm parking lot is located on Mineral Springs Road between U.S. Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 12 in Porter, Indiana. For more information on this and other programs at Indiana Dunes National Park you can call (219) 395-1882. Please visit our website, download the official National Park Service app, or view our Facebook page.

The national park’s new entrance fee is $25 per car for a 1–7-day pass. A $45 annual pass for the Indiana Dunes National Park is also available. Holders of the following federal passes will not pay an entrance fee: Annual, Senior, Veterans/Military/Gold Star Family, 4th Grade, Access (disability), and the Volunteer Passes. Please purchase passes or pay entrance fees at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center or at www.recreation.gov/sitepass/indu. When parking, display pass or receipt on the rearview mirror or dashboard.
