A man who joined the Bureau of Reclamation in 2014 as a regional budget analyst for the Northern California Area Office is now manager of the Bureau’s California Great-Basin Region Program and Budget Office.
Edward Young will be in an office responsible for a range of duties regarding regional program plans, strategies and budgets in southern Oregon and western Nevada, along with central and Northern California, a recent news release from the Bureau said.
“Edward brings a wealth of experience to this position,” Regional Director Ernest Conant said in the release. “We are grateful for Edward’s leadership and expertise in guiding our Region through the critical complexities of our budget process, and especially for the implementation of the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to address water and drought challenges in the West.”
Before joining the Bureau of Reclamation, Young was a budget analyst for the U.S. Air Force for just over three years, his LinkedIn profile said. He was a budget analyst for Washington Headquarters Services from June 2008-February 2011. He also served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008.
