WASHINGTON - The House Appropriations Committee today approved allocations, known as 302(b)s, for its 12 subcommittees for fiscal year 2020 on a vote of 30 to 22.

The allocations total $1.295 trillion in discretionary funding, with significant increases allowing investments that help working families. The 302(b) subcommittee allocations are.

“The work of this Committee is too important for us to sit on our hands and wait for the Senate and White House to work with us on a bipartisan budget agreement," said House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita Lowey. “With these suballocations, we are enabling a speedier and more orderly appropriations process to get the people’s work done on time. Most importantly, we are rejecting the inadequate and ill-considered allocations of recent years and instead providing sufficient resources to secure our nation and give all Americans a better chance at a better life."
