As the world moves into the next phase of the pandemic, USAID is focused on turning COVID-19 into a manageable respiratory illness, and we must ensure countries remain ready and able to respond to the next wave or pandemic. To do so, USAID is protecting those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 with life-saving vaccines; increasing access to testing, treatment and medical oxygen; and helping countries integrate COVID-19 response mechanisms into their routine health systems.
