APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) is excited to announce the new APHIS eFile PPQ 587 plants and plant products application for fresh fruits and vegetables permits.Why should you use it?Apply Today!Go to APHIS eFile at efile.aphis.usda.gov/s/. In the Ready to Apply section, select the PPQ 587 Fresh Fruits and Vegetables application. If you have a fresh fruits and vegetables permit that will expire soon, please use APHIS eFile to renew it. All other PPQ 587 applications (e.g. frozen fruits and vegetables, seeds not for planting, plants for planting, etc.) remain in ePermits at this time. Depending on your permitting needs, you may have to use both APHIS eFile and ePermits. In the future, all PPQ 587 permit requests will be available in APHIS eFile.APHIS eFile is part of APHIS’ commitment to improving the customer experience by reducing regulatory burden and offering intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences.
