Washington, D.C., September 9, 2021 - The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is advising the public of a pest risk analysis prepared to evaluate the risks associated with the importation of fresh mango fruit from Grenada into the United States. Based on the analysis, APHIS has determined that the application of one or more phytosanitary measures will be sufficient to mitigate the risks of introducing or disseminating plant pests or noxious weeds via the importation of fresh mango fruit from Grenada.
APHIS is making the pest risk analysis available to the public for review and comment. The Agency will consider all comments received on or before November 8, 2021. In a subsequent notice, APHIS will announce a final decision regarding authorizing importation of fresh mango fruit from Grenada into the United States.
