Mantas: 'FYI and IBM aim to transform the creative collaboration process'

IBM recently launched a new partnership with will.i.am and FYI to enable creatives to harness the transformational potential of safe and reliable generative AI.

With everything from storyboarding, messaging and video calls to high-resolution file sharing and scheduling all in one place, the FYI app is designed to inspire and empower artists, creators and innovators to collaborate seamlessly on projects and manage their businesses, according to a June 20 news release. This allows for end-to-end tracking of the creative process.

“Generative AI has incredible power to transform the content creation and collaboration process at scale, but the AI used must be built with security, governance and transparency," IBM Consulting Global Managing Partner Jesus Mantas said in the release. "Together, FYI and IBM aim to transform the creative collaboration process with simple and highly efficient generative AI-powered workflows.”

Using watsonx, a new AI and data platform for business, FYI and IBM Consulting will collaborate to expand AI and incorporate accountability, transparency and explainability into the creative process, the release reported.

Since FYI is now running on IBM Cloud, it can take advantage of protected messaging and cryptography for projects from beginning to end, according to the release. The FYI team will be able to use watsonx to implement customized AI capabilities that can automate supply chain procedures and content creation, which will assist to cut down on administrative labor, improve team communication and free up more time for creative endeavors. 

By acting as a "digital coach," FYI will provide creators with a range of services, including developing business paperwork and controlling workflows for creative creation, the release said. This most recent partnership follows IBM's long tradition of stressing ethics in AI development.

AI workflows will assist FYI users in producing collaborative work that is accountable, responsible and comprehensible, according to the release.
