Recently, border officials in San Diego released a warning regarding the potential presence of people associated with the conflict between Hamas and Israel at the U.S southern border. Senator Cruz voiced his concern about the news in a recent tweet.

According to a recent article from abc News, a recent notice from San Diego U.S Customs and Border Protection indicated that personnel connected with the war between Israel and Hamas could potentially appear at the U.S Southern border with the intent of crossing. The article additionally states that the report detailed signs that could be used to indicate such people; agents at the border should look out for solo traveling men in military garb. The CBP notice also showed specific insignias that the terrorist groups wear.

According to the Daily Caller, the memo released by U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in San Diego included a list of specific “patches” of the involved terrorist groups: Hamas, Hezbollah, and PIJ. The Daily Caller article states that these three terrorist organizations are responsible for the attacks on Israeli citizens.
According to abc News, a spokesperson from CBP claimed that they have not found evidence of Hamas sending military to enter the U.S, and additionally stated that keeping border up to date on situational awareness is a routine responsibility for the agency.
