A coalition of housing trade groups has expressed their appreciation for the establishment of the Bipartisan Congressional Real Estate Caucus, thanking Reps. Mark Alford, J. Luis Correa, Tracey Mann, and Brittany Pettersen for their initiative. The National Association of Realtors® (NAR), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), American Land Title Association (ALTA), National Apartment Association (NAA), U.S. Mortgage Insurers (USMI), National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), American Property Owners Alliance (APOA), Leading Builders of America, and Nareit have all commended the bipartisan effort.
In a statement, the National Association of Realtors® emphasized the importance of addressing the housing affordability crisis, stating, "Lawmakers from across the political spectrum are in overwhelming agreement that this nation is facing a housing affordability crisis."
The National Association of Home Builders also voiced their support, noting, "NAHB commends House lawmakers for making housing a national priority and establishing the Bipartisan Congressional Real Estate Caucus."
Mortgage Bankers Association echoed similar sentiments, applauding the Representatives for stepping up to co-lead the caucus, stating, "MBA looks forward to working with this bipartisan group to help more Americans achieve their dream of housing choice."
The American Land Title Association highlighted the role of the caucus in advancing policies to enhance housing affordability and opportunity for all Americans, stating, "At the core of those efforts is expanding the dream of homeownership."
The National Apartment Association emphasized the need for bipartisan solutions, stating, "Rental housing and its creation are the cornerstone to easing affordability challenges."
