Amazon Games has announced the release of "New World: Aeternum," a new action RPG set to debut on October 15, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This game marks the first time console players can explore the world of Aeternum, previously available only on PC.
"New World: Aeternum" will include all content from the original New World game on PC, along with additional features such as a large-scale player vs. player zone, a 10-player raid, end-game solo trials, and an upgraded leveling experience. The game will support cross-platform play and introduce new character archetypes and a revamped dialogue system.
In the game, players take on the role of shipwrecked explorers who must navigate the supernatural island of Aeternum. Combat is skill-based and dynamic, involving swords, guns, and magic. Players can customize their characters through various activities like gathering resources and completing quests.
Christoph Hartmann, Vice President at Amazon Games, stated: "New World: Aeternum is the culmination of years of focused development combined with input from the dedicated community of players who’ve already carved a path in the original New World on PC."
The game has been optimized for consoles with features like target locking and aim assist. It will be available digitally for $59.99 or as a Deluxe Edition for $79.99. Pre-order bonuses include an Azoth Stalker wolf mount.
Amazon Games continues its commitment to developing high-quality games following successes like "Lost Ark." Other upcoming titles include a new entry in the Tomb Raider series and "THRONE AND LIBERTY."
