Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr. will travel to Brussels, Belgium, on June 12 to host an in-person meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) on June 13. This will be the 23rd meeting of the UDCG since Secretary Austin formed the international group in April 2022.
The Secretary and Chairman will join ministers of defense and senior military officials from nearly 50 nations to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and continued support from the international community to provide Ukrainians with necessary means to defend their sovereign territory.
While in Brussels, Secretary Austin will also participate in the NATO Defense Ministerial on June 14 at NATO Headquarters.
