U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael S. Regan will join Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff in Durham, North Carolina, tomorrow to highlight new funding and actions aimed at protecting children from lead in drinking water. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
The initiative is part of the Biden-Harris administration’s ongoing efforts to safeguard public health and ensure safe drinking water for all Americans. Joining Regan and Emhoff will be U.S. Representative Valerie Foushee (NC-04), Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kody H. Kinsley, state and local representatives, as well as community members.
The itinerary includes a site visit at 112 Radcliff Circle in Durham at 3:30 p.m., followed by a press conference at Lyons Farm Elementary School located at 906 Scott King Road in Durham at 4:10 p.m.
