Netflix has announced the release date for the second part of "The Platform" universe, one of its most popular Spanish films. The sequel, starring Milena Smit and Hovik Keuchkerian, will be available on the streaming service starting October 4th.
In "The Platform 2," a mysterious leader enforces their rule within the platform, drawing a new resident into a struggle against the brutal feeding system. The film explores how far individuals are willing to go to save their lives when eating from the wrong plate becomes a death sentence.
"The Platform 2" features performances by Milena Smit ("The Snow Girl"), Hovik Keuchkerian ("Money Heist"), Natalia Tena ("Game of Thrones"), and Óscar Jaenada ("Luis Miguel: The Series"). It is directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, who also directed the original film, and produced by Carlos Juárez, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, and Raquel Perea from Basque Films.
