Funding announced for conservation programs benefiting endangered species

The Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have announced a funding opportunity for the Central Valley Project Conservation Program and the Central Valley Project Improvement Act Habitat Restoration Program. The grants are available for fiscal years 2025 and 2026.

Non-federal parties can apply for awards up to $1 million for projects that benefit federally listed endangered and threatened species impacted by project operations. Approximately $4.8 million is available over the two years, expected to result in seven to ten awards.
