Netflix has announced plans to create a 'Heartstopper Pride Flag' that will be displayed at Queer Britain, featuring personal messages from fans collected during a nationwide tour of Pride events.
Fans are invited to submit personal stories about the impact "Heartstopper" has had on their lives. These messages will be part of a unique art installation. A Heartstopper fan pop-up, showcasing Charlie Spring’s bedroom, will travel to Pride events in Glasgow, Liverpool, and Brighton. This initiative offers fans an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of "Heartstopper" and share their messages.
Messages can also be submitted online at heartstopperlove.com. The flag is set to be unveiled this October around the launch of the new season and will be displayed at Queer Britain's museum.
"Heartstopper" fans across the UK and globally are encouraged to contribute to this art installation. The 'Heartstopper Pride Flag', commissioned by Netflix, will be showcased at Queer Britain.
This summer's nationwide tour includes a Heartstopper pop-up experience, bringing lead character Charlie Spring’s iconic bedroom to Glasgow, Liverpool, and Brighton. Fans can step into sets from the series, view exclusive clips from the upcoming season, and hear personal messages from the cast ahead of its anticipated launch on Netflix on October 3rd.
At each pop-up event, fans can handwrite personal notes about how the show has impacted their lives. These notes focus particularly on messages of support or strength received from others. Messages will be integrated into creating the 'Heartstopper Pride Flag', with global contributions also accepted online at www.heartstopperlove.com.
An artist yet to be announced will use these fan messages to design a unique Pride-inspired flag reflecting love for the series from its extensive LGBTQ+ community fan base and beyond. The flag unveiling coincides with the series’ launch in October and will then reside in Queer Britain’s museum.
