Kohrra, the multiple award-winning crime drama series set in Punjab, is set to return for a second season. Season 1 of the show was praised for its unique blend of crime and emotion, exploring societal complexities and human psychology through exceptional performances. The narrative captured audiences globally, earning over 20 awards, including Best Series Award in Melbourne and various accolades closer to home such as Best Web Series, Best Actor, Best Ensemble, Best Editing, and Best Cinematography.
This season will introduce Mona Singh, known for her roles in shows like Kaala Paani. Returning this season is Barun Sobti, recognized for his portrayal of Garundi, a young police officer involved in a murder investigation while dealing with personal challenges. The new season will explore another murder mystery against the backdrop of Punjab.
The show will be directed by Sudip Sharma along with Faisal Rahman and produced by Act Three Productions and Film Squad Productions. This marks Sudip Sharma’s debut as a producer (Act Three Productions) and director.
