The Justice Department's Executive Office for U.S. Trustees has announced the appointment of three new Assistant U.S. Trustees in Missouri, Ohio, and Washington.

Jill Parsons was appointed as the Assistant U.S. Trustee for the Kansas City office, which serves the Western District of Missouri (Region 13). Before joining the U.S. Trustee Program (USTP), Parsons worked as a chapter 7 panel trustee since 2009 and practiced bankruptcy law in Kansas City for over two decades. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Weber State University and a law degree with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Angela Abreu was appointed to the Cleveland office, serving the Northern District of Ohio (Region 9). Abreu joined the USTP after working in private practice focusing on creditors' rights and chapter 7 bankruptcy. Her most recent role was as a corporate vice president and loss mitigation manager at a regional bank. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and general administration of justice from Saint Vincent College and her law degree cum laude from Duquesne University.

Hilary Mohr took on her role in August as Assistant U.S. Trustee for Seattle, covering both the Western District of Washington and the District of Alaska (Region 18). Mohr became part of the USTP as a trial attorney in Seattle in January 2016 after being a partner at a Seattle law firm specializing in creditors' rights litigation and bankruptcy matters. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from University of Washington, worked within the nonprofit sector, and received her law degree summa cum laude from Seattle University.

The mission of the USTP is to uphold integrity and efficiency within the bankruptcy system to benefit debtors, creditors, and the public. The program comprises 21 regions with 89 field offices across the country along with an Executive Office located in Washington, D.C.
