Blaine Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a Canadian citizen, Neckolece Denis-Fouche, who illegally entered the United States from Canada near Sumas. The incident occurred on Wednesday at around 6 p.m., following a report from a local rideshare driver about a suspicious individual seeking a ride.
Sumas Station agents responded promptly and detained Denis-Fouche after a brief foot chase. Subsequent investigations revealed that he was wanted for murder in Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada. On Thursday morning, Denis-Fouche was handed over to Canadian authorities through the Sumas Port of Entry.
Blaine Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rosario Vasquez praised the efforts of the agents involved, stating: "I am proud of the swift and decisive actions by our agents in apprehending this dangerous individual." Vasquez emphasized the importance of cooperation with Canadian authorities in ensuring justice is served.
