The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has announced that Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of Volvo Group, will be a keynote speaker at CES 2025. The event will see Volvo Group present its vision for transportation and infrastructure that is completely safe, fossil-free, and more productive.
Volvo Group's presentation will emphasize the need for sustainable and efficient operations through electrification, connectivity, and automation. The company aims to achieve net zero value chain greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 using these technologies.
Gary Shapiro, CEO of CTA, stated: “Volvo Group is leading the way in mobility to deliver sustainable technologies across trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine and industrial solutions. We look forward to hearing their ambitious strategy to accelerate climate progress in the next decade.”
The company plans to showcase its approach to fossil-free transportation through battery electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells, and combustion engines powered by renewable biofuels. This systemic approach across the value chain is seen as crucial for the adoption of these technologies.
