Mike Hammer visits Boston to engage with students and Ethiopian diaspora

Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Mike Hammer, is visiting Boston, Massachusetts from October 18 to 22. During his stay, he will engage with students and faculty at several academic institutions.

Hammer is scheduled to address students at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He will meet with Dean Kelly Sims Gallagher and other faculty members. The discussions will include career opportunities in foreign service for students involved in the Department’s Thomas R. Pickering and Charles B. Rangel Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs.

Additionally, Ambassador Hammer will deliver a talk at Boston University's Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies’ African Studies Center as part of the Walter Rodney seminar series. His itinerary also includes participating in a roundtable discussion with members of the Ethiopian diaspora community.
