Laredo, Texas – The Laredo Sector Border Patrol has announced the recipients of its Youth of the Month program for October. This initiative aims to recognize and encourage academic excellence among high school students in the Laredo area.
On October 25, a ceremony was held at United South High School where 11 students were honored. Marcus Sauceda, Freer Station Patrol Agent in Charge, addressed the attendees as a guest speaker. He emphasized "the significance of the Youth of the Month award and the unwavering academic dedication necessary to win such a scholastic award."
The Laredo Sector Youth of the Month Program is now in its 38th year. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which oversees this program, describes itself as "America's frontline: the nation's largest law enforcement organization and the world's first unified border management agency." With over 65,000 personnel, CBP plays a crucial role in protecting America across various domains while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
