U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is set to host a Global Entry enrollment event at Cut Bank International Airport in Montana this November. The event, aimed at conducting interviews for conditionally approved applicants, will take place on November 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Global Entry is an initiative designed to expedite the clearance process for pre-approved, low-risk international travelers. Approved members use biometric identification at designated kiosks, which allows them faster processing and reduced wait times upon re-entering the United States.
Applicants who have received conditional approval can schedule their interview appointments through their Trusted Traveler Program Account online. Interviews will be held at the U.S. CBP Inspection Office located at Cut Bank International Airport.
Jason Greene, Sweetgrass Area Port Director, emphasized the importance of such events by stating: "CBP recognizes there is a high demand for Global Entry program membership, and we are hoping to meet that demand by partnering with local stakeholders to hold enrollment events in locations that are geographically convenient for conditionally approved Global Entry applicants to complete their required interview with a CBP Officer."
To join the Global Entry program, individuals must apply online and undergo both a background check and an in-person interview with a CBP officer. A $100 application fee covers five years of membership. Kiosks for Global Entry are available at 60 U.S. airports and 15 preclearance locations worldwide.
The program also provides access to TSA Pre✓™, which offers expedited screening benefits like keeping shoes on during security checks and not having to remove laptops from bags.
