Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken engaged in a conversation with Kenyan President William Ruto on November 7. The call was to express gratitude for Kenya's ongoing leadership in the Multinational Security Support mission to Haiti, aimed at restoring peace and security in the region.

Secretary Blinken highlighted the necessity for continuous engagement with the Kenyan public, especially following protests from June to August. He stressed the importance of accountability for security forces allegedly involved in protest-related violence and abductions.
