The United States Border Patrol has announced the appointment of Jodi L. Williams as the new Patrol Agent in Charge (PAIC) at the Houlton Border Patrol Station in Houlton, Maine. Williams began her career with the agency in July 2000 and has since held various roles, including Field Training Officer and ATV Instructor at the Naco Border Patrol Station, now known as Brian A. Terry Station.

Williams transferred to the Houlton Border Patrol Station in March 2007, where she was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in January 2010. Her tenure includes serving as Public Affairs Liaison and Special Operations Supervisor from August 2010 to December 2012 at the Houlton Sector Headquarters. In September 2017, she became Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge and has also served as Acting Division Chief for Law Enforcement Operations and Programs.

Williams expressed her gratitude for leading the station where she grew up: "Being a Native Mainer, I am humbled by the opportunity to lead the Houlton Station in the community I grew up in and have raised my family." She added that she is honored to be part of a team of outstanding individuals.

Houlton Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Keith Hoops highlighted Williams' achievements: "The Patrol Agent in Charge position is one of the most critical command positions in the field for the U.S. Border Patrol. We are fortunate to have someone from this community who has risen through the ranks at Houlton Station." He praised her leadership skills and looked forward to her continued success supporting border security in Maine.

The area under Williams' responsibility includes a 98-mile stretch of international border with Canada’s New Brunswick province, comprising land and water boundaries across an expanse that is predominantly forested with some agricultural areas.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), America's largest law enforcement organization, continues its mission to protect national borders while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
