Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming film, "The Snow Sister," which is set to premiere globally on November 29, 2024. The film is an adaptation of the popular Norwegian book by Maja Lunde and Lisa Aisato. The book has sold over 250,000 copies in Norway and has been published in 31 territories.

The film's soundtrack will feature "Siste Dans" by Norwegian-Iranian singer and songwriter Delara. This new track is scheduled for release on November 15.

"The Snow Sister" follows the story of Julian, whose eleventh birthday coincides with Christmas Eve. While it used to be a joyous occasion filled with holiday traditions, this year feels different due to a lingering sadness within his family. Julian's encounter with Hedvig, a cheerful girl who loves Christmas, rekindles his hope for the holiday season. However, he soon notices something peculiar about Hedvig’s house and an old man who seems to be lurking nearby.

The cast includes Mudit Gupta, Celina Meyer Hovland, Ole Steinkjer Øyen, Jan Sælid, Samsaya, Gunnar Eiriksson, and Advika. The screenplay was written by Maja Lunde with co-writer Siv Rajendram Eliassen. Cecilie Mosli directed the film while Guri Neby served as executive producer and Brede Hovland as producer. John-Erling Fredriksen was responsible for cinematography under Anonymous Content Nordic's production.
