Netflix has announced the release of "Squid Game: Unleashed," a party royale game inspired by its popular series, set to launch on December 17. The game coincides with the return of "Squid Game" Season 2 on Netflix, which premieres on December 26.
According to Netflix, "There are more than 100 games on Netflix, included with all memberships without ads or in-app purchases, with new games out now and coming soon."
Currently available is "TED Tumblewords," a daily word game that encourages critical thinking by rearranging letters to form words. Players can enjoy fresh puzzles daily without any in-game advertisements.
"Netflix Stories: Virgin River: Christmas" is also available. It follows a writer dealing with writer's block who seeks inspiration in Virgin River during the holidays but finds unexpected romance instead.
"The Rise of the Golden Idol," another game available now, involves unraveling the mystery surrounding an ancient artifact and its influence over various characters during the 1970s.
Upcoming releases include "The Ultimatum: Choices" on December 3, where players navigate romantic decisions guided by Chloe Veitch from Netflix's reality shows. Also arriving on December 3 is "Netflix Stories: A Perfect Couple," a murder mystery set during a wedding weekend.
"Civilization VI," releasing on December 5, offers strategic gameplay as players build empires across history. The game includes all expansion packs and content from the Platinum Edition for Netflix members.
On December 10, "Monument Valley 3" will be released. Players assist Noor, an apprentice lightkeeper, in solving puzzles to find a new power source as their world faces rising waters.
Finally, launching on December 17 is "Squid Game: Unleashed." This multiplayer battle royale challenges players to survive rounds based on deadly challenges from the series and other childhood-inspired games.
