U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has updated its Enforcement and Removal Operations statistics page with data from the second and third quarters of fiscal year 2024. In the third quarter, ICE removed nearly 68,000 individual noncitizens, which is almost 1,000 more than in the second quarter. This marks a 69% increase over removals during the same period in fiscal year 2023 and exceeds 140% of all ICE removals for fiscal year 2023.

"With the public release of this enforcement data, ICE continues to demonstrate its commitment to keeping communities safe and focusing our enforcement resources on those who pose threats to public safety and national security," said ICE Deputy Director Patrick J. Lechleitner. "We will continue to evaluate and enhance how the agency communicates measurable data to the public."

The data underscores ICE's efforts to enforce U.S. immigration laws within the country and remove individuals without legal grounds to remain. The dashboard excludes removals by U.S. Customs and Border Protection or expulsions under Title 42, which ended in May 2023.

The ERO dashboard presents enforcement data from fiscal year 2021 through the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, tracking arrests, detention, removals, and enrollments into ICE’s Alternatives to Detention program.

Key statistics include:

- **Arrests**: Data covers criminality levels including noncitizens with U.S. criminal convictions or pending charges.

- **Detention**: Information by citizenship and criminality; most detainees are transferred from CBP custody.

- **Removals**: Under Title 8 authority; includes high-profile cases like known terrorists.

- **Alternatives to Detention**: Uses technology for monitoring cases assigned to ICE’s non-detained docket.

ERO identifies unlawfully present individuals for arrest based on departmental priorities.
