Clewiston man receives six-year sentence for drug and firearm offenses

U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell has sentenced Felix Alberto Quinones, a 26-year-old resident of Clewiston, to six years in federal prison. Quinones was charged with distributing cocaine and carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking offense. He entered a guilty plea on August 28, 2024.

Court documents reveal that Quinones admitted to selling cocaine and a firearm to an undercover agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) on October 3, 2023. Additionally, he confessed to another cocaine sale to an undercover ATF agent on October 11, 2023.

The investigation into this case was conducted by the ATF and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mark Morgan.

This legal action is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities.
